Cinigiano is a small Municipality in the high Tuscan Maremma, Grosseto province, where  are located our  estate Quercia Sola, and its wine cellar; it’s the place where we carry on with passion all the traditional processing  needed to convert our grapes into wines like Montecucco DOC, Quercia Sola Igt and  Luvaia Igt.
Cinigiano is a natural baricenter among history, nature and culture: in fact it’s close to the Tirrenic Coast, with Punta Ala and Castiglione Della Pescaia and at a short distance from Montalcino, Siena, Pienza and Saturnia as well. From the slopes of Amiata mountain, a volcano inactive for centuries,  looking towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, so near that it  catches its scent but far enough for our vineyards to be protected by dangerous south-west winds, we can admire the sweet hills, the chestnut bushes, the pasture lands and the valleys of Ombrone and Orcia rivers. And is the Orcia river with its gentle and antique run that borders Montecucco production area from the one of Brunello di Montalcino.
In this still uncontaminated territory, we enjoy moderately rainy winters and hot intense summers. This terrain and the lands where the vineyards are embedded, are mainly made with fragmented sandstone and preserve the clear presence of compound formed by lava. This extraordinary nature gives an intense flavour and an extraordinary mineral taste to vines, the characteristic and inimitable expression of Tuscan Maremma wines.
